Chef Sophear (Pete) Sok is well known in Central Alberta. With 25+ years of extensive experience as a Chef and Owner of restaurants such as Blue Dragon Fine Thai and Khmer Cuisine, Bamboo Hut, Sophear Restaurant and Bar AND the Funky Monkey Kitchen and Bar, Pete knows great food, creating strong teams, and delivering a taste experience you won’t soon forget.
Executive Chef Sophear gained recognition for his crazy talents by being awarded Chopped Canada Champion 2015, S3, E12, 2016. He shares that win with his community, being a celebrity judge in Sliced Red Deer and various other cooking competitions for charity.
A personal highlight of Executive Chef Sophear’s career was being inducted to Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School Hall of Fame in 2016.
